Finding the ‘right’ form

May 20, 2020 | Blog, Sculpture, Sound, Stonecarving

The recent carving (first photo) had elements of relating to a curled up human form/baby that although organic and showing a formative development it is not what I want for my current carvings. I am after a vessel that ‘holds’ internal sound, I want the forms to be more abstract. Form in a general sense not a human sense. With my last carving (second photo) I took deliberately the human aspect out.
