IQ Quarry Garden

May 28, 2017 | Exhibitions, Light, Passing Light, Time Pieces

‘Passing Light’, a sculptural installation paying homage to light/ shadow and form. With its 3m height and 15m length the work has a monumental presence, which softens through the changes in light. The plain concrete surround serves as a screen to capture the long solid shadow of the wall as well as shots of light waxing and waning throughout day and night.

‘Passing Light’ was part of the Quarry Garden at the RHS Chatsworth Flower Show 2017 designed by Paul Hervey-Brookes commissioned by the Institute of Quarrying.
